Every year after Halloween there is always an abundance of candy corn on clearance. This past year I picked up a number of bags to try my hand at making three ingredient butterfingers! These are relatively easy to make and taste so good. I actually prefer them to the real butterfingers! Even if you did not stock up like I did on candy corn, you can still buy it online and at bulk stores!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1 cup peanut butter
- chocolate almond bark or chocolate chips for covering.
- Melt candy corn on the stove top on low heat (constantly store so it doesn't scorch the pan).
- Add the peanut butter and continuously mix together until it becomes thick and difficult to mix. Will almost look like play dough.
- Place mixture on parchment paper lined cookie sheet. I pressed it into the pan so it was about 1/4 inch think.
- I then took a pizza cutter or knife and cut it into the desired shape. Let it cool and harden.
- Melt your chocolate once the mixture is cooled. I melt mine in a mini crock pot, so it stays hot and is easy to dip. Dip each piece in chocolate, and set it on wax paper to set.
