Tom Brand (Kevin Spacey) is a daredevil billionaire at the top of his game. His eponymous company FireBrand is nearing completion on its greatest achievement to date – the tallest skyscraper in the northern hemisphere. But Tom’s workaholic lifestyle has disconnected him from his family, particularly his beautiful wife Lara (Jennifer Garner) and his adoring daughter Rebecca (Malina Weisman).
Rebecca’s 11th birthday is here, and she wants the gift she wants every year, a cat. Tom hates cats, but he is without a gift and time is running out. His GPS directs him to a mystical pet store brimming with odd and exotic cats- where the store’s eccentric owner- Felix Perkins (Christopher Walken), presents him with a majestic tomcat, named Mr. Fuzzypants.
En route to his daughter’s party, Tom has a terrible accident. When he regains consciousness he discovers that somehow, he has become trapped inside the body of the cat. Adopted by his own family, he begins to experience what life is truly like for the family pet, and as a cat, Tom begins to see his family and his life through a new and unexpected perspective. Meanwhile, his family adjusts to life with an odd and stubborn cat, and his son David (Robbie Amell), steps up in ways Tom never expected.
If any hope exists of returning to his family as the husband and father they deserve, Tom will have to learn why he has been placed in this peculiar situation and the great lengths he must go to earn back his human existence.
Nine Lives is out today on DVD and my fellow felines who are reading this purr out the news to your owners. Walk across their key board and make sure your owners see this link where they can score Nine Lives on DVD for $14.96 or on Blu-Ray for $19.96!
In honor of the movie, my owners tried to recreate my cuteness in the food they eat. I tried to watch the humans closely...
These are the items they used:
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
- Pepperoni and mini pepperoni
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pizza sauce
One can of biscuits will make 6 adorable cats. Place the biscuits on a parchment lined cookie sheet a few inches apart.
The other two biscuits were used to cut out triangles to use for the cats ears. To attach the ears press them into the circles. My humans also used some of the left over ear dough to roll into balls to make cheeks and noses!
Cut the large pepperoni slices into triangles for the ears and also into strips for the whiskers.
Place the sauce onto the pizza, then top with the cheese. Then add the cut pepperoni to the ears and the whiskers. Using the mini pepperoni make the eyes and the noses.
The humans then baked them in the heat box at 375 for 15-20 minutes.
The humans laughed and laughed at the movie. I was just amazed at Mr. Fuzzypants moves. While the humas are away, I will be practicing my moves so I can try and do some of the crazy things Mr. Fuzzypants did!
The great people at Fox Home Entertainment, really know how to treat a cat right. Look at the fun goodies they sent to my humans!
Until next time...Whiskers and Paws
