@KalahariResorts Part 3: Spacious rooms, wild slides, lazy rivers and more! #Ohio #sponsored

Recently I was fortunate enough to be invited to a  blogger event at Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky Ohio.  This was my family's first trip to Kalahari and it was memorable, wonderful experience!  Tonight's post is the final post of a three part series, visit my first post on the food of Kalahari here and Fabulous and fun dry activities post here!
America's Largest Indoor Waterpark offers something for everyone! It features 173,000 square feet of waterpark excitement! Just look at the list of rides/water attractions: Flowrider, Victoria Falls, Lazy River, Zip Coaster, Tanzanian Twister, Leopard's Lair, Kid's Safari, Rippling Rhino, Elephant's Trunk, Wave Pool, Zig Zag Zebra, Crocodile Cove, Indoor/Outdoor Spas, Shooting Star, Swahili Swirl, Wild Wildebeest, Zimbabwe Zipper, Cheetah Race and Coral Cove!

The wave pool is 12,000 sq. ft., bounce along in a tube as the waves rise and fall!  My son and daughter loved  Rippling Rhino, which is Kalahari's longest tube slide at nearly 400 ft. long.  Experience the thrill of the Swahili Swirl 60' diameter bowl raft ride,my daughter refers to this one like a big toilet bowl! of water that shoots you out below.   Kids will also enjoy racing each other in Cheetah Race 4 lane mat slides and the Zig Zag Zebra ! If your children are tall enough, then head over to crocodile cove and  race against them as they hold onto a net and try and jump from one floating pad to the next.  Hubby of course won, but my daughter never fell off and was swinging like a little spider monkey!

The Victoria Falls raft ride is a must!  I also loved the lazy river, it was the longest lazy river that I have went on at a waterpark!  Make sure to go slow and not rush, thus the term lazy!   I loved looking and all the beautiful wall murals on the journey down the river!   Another must if you visit in the winter is to check out the  indoor/outdoor spas!  Take a journey through hot waters and experience the cold winter air hitting you in these hot tubs!  There is also an adult only indoor/outdoor area that includes a swim up bar.

Looking to store your stuff somewhere?  You can rent a locker for $15 and it is nice size locker.  We fit a couple coats, four pairs of sneakers and two bags of clothes in there!  When you turn your key, you will be refunded $9 (your deposit).  You can also rent a cabana or bungalow  and choose the perfect spot to relax, whether it is on the upper or lower level. Relax in your own private indoor cabana and enjoy a security safe, refrigerator, chaise lounges and table.  We were able to chill in the cabana, store our items, eat lunch in a quiet relaxed setting!
After a bit of water fun, we headed out to the lobby to see if our room was ready!  We had a very nice room that was the perfect size for our family!  It had two queen beds with a full size sofa sleeper, so my daughter took the extra bed, while my son had the sleeper sofa.  The beds were luxurious and a welcomed resting spot after a fun filled day!  My son said the sofa was great too!
The room featured amazing decor.  I loved the paintings that hung above the couch and the wall across from the beds.  It totally went with the Kalahari theme. The room also featured a microwave, refrigerator (perfect for storing out leftovers), coffee maker, free high speed internet, in-room safe, fireplace that had a 32 inch flat screen television above it and so much more!  This was the perfect oasis after a fun filled day or sliding, eating, playing in arcade, sliding, eating, repeat, etc.

Everything about our Kalahari experience was wonderful.  From the staff who greeted us at time of arrival till the time we left.   I was honestly amazed at how friendly the staff was, whether it was an older gentleman bell hop taking the time to ask Paige about her experience at the spa, to the lady cleaning the restroom and asking Paige about her favorite slide, to the arcade worker that high-fived Noah, etc.  I have only ever experienced staff that friendly at one other place... Disney.   I am totally impressed with the service and friendliness of Kalahari that I can not stop talking about it!  They truly make your over night stay/family getaway a memorable experience all along the way!  So if you are looking for a place to take the family for a long weekend, a mid-week getaway, then check out Kalahari!   They also have a bunch of outdoor activities too that I never mentioned!  We did not experience then since it was bitter cold and winter, but hopefully can make another trip back and report to you all on that as well!

Surprise goodies for the family from the great folks at Kalahari!
