Cleveland's  Lake Erie Monsters are in their 7th season at Quicken Loans Arena and are owned and operated by Dan Gilbert and the Cleveland Cavaliers organization. The Lake Erie Monsters are back with their aggressive mentality and full-tilt physical style of play to compete at the highest level every night for all Monsters fans!

It’s the electrifying energy and unstoppable passion of Monsters fans inside The Q combined with the award-winning game presentation that make attending a Monsters game the BEST fan experience in the AHL! 

This past weekend, my family and a handful of other Ohio bloggers were invited to Cleveland to get a tour of The Q Arena and watch a Monsters Hockey game!  You may not know it, but the Lake Erie Monsters support hundreds of charitable causes and events each year.  They have the Monsters Community Fund  that supports Northeast Ohio programs that positively impact the areas of education, youth hockey, health & wellness and basic needs.  Besides the fund they raise money on game nights with a 50/50 raffle, the raffle off team shirts, and so much more.

 

From the moment you step inside the arena, you’ll find FREE concourse activities for the whole family, including hair and face painting, sign-making, temporary tattoos, interactive games, music and special performances by the Monsters Hockey Girls —and there’s always a good chance you’ll run into Monsters mascot Sully! Throughout the season, fans can also expect a lineup of special theme nights and exciting giveaways.  We were lucky enough to attend on Monsters Piggy Bank night and they were a huge hit with the kids! Season Long Promotional Nights:

• All Giveaways, unless otherwise noted, are for the first 5,000 fans in attendance (Shown in Blue)
• College ID Nights are every weekday (Tuesday - Thursday), presented by RTA & WMMS: Receive $6 tickets with a valid college ID or $5 tickets valid RTA fare card or UPASS sticker along with college ID at the Quicken Loans Arena Box Office
• Thirsty Thursday presented by RTA & WMMS: Fans can enjoy $2 14 ounce select draft beers and $5 Monster Margaritas during every Thursday night home game
• Dollar Dog & Dollar Soda Nights are every Friday night and are presented by Sugardale and Pepsi: Hot dogs and 16-ounce sodas are just one dollar each
• Postgame Skates presented by Hudec Dental following every Friday night home game. Skates are available to rent for a $3 donation to the Monsters Community Fund (while supplies last)
• Military Discount: Receive $5 tickets (select locations) with a valid Military ID at the Quicken Loans Arena Box Office

Single game tickets can be purchased by calling the Monsters' charge-by-phone number 216-420-0000, selecting one of the games above, by stopping by the Quicken Loans Arena main ticket office or at any one of Discount Drug Mart’s 58 northern Ohio locations (up until the day of the game).

If you have never been to a hockey game, then you don't know what you are missing.    The Q was transformed into a big ice rink, it is amazing to how they can transform the Q for basketball games, hockey games and even Monster Truck events!   From the moment we entered the parking garage, to getting into the game and finding our suite, we were treated kindly by all the staff.   You can tell they truly love their jobs at the Arena and will to help you any way they can.  Be entertained by the Mullet Brothers and also be prepared for a fight or two to break out during the game! A Lake Erie Monster Game is definitely an experience not to miss out on!  There are still plenty of games, so check them out!
