We're working with Matchbox® to create a buzz around the Matchbox® Heroes Wanted™ promotion! It's a really fun contest that calls on parents to celebrate the heroic attributes of their children by submitting a picture of their child dressed as their favorite real-life icon, along with a caption explaining why they are a true Matchbox® hero. Anyone with a child between three and 10 years old can enter the contest now through May 13, 2013. Submissions will be showcased on the Matchbox® Heroes Wanted™ Facebook gallery and are automatically entered to win the grand prize - a $60,000 college scholarship! 60 prize pack giveaways will be awarded weekly consisting of a Matchbox® branded gift box, a personalized photo-frame thank you card and four heroic Matchbox® vehicles. The goal is to honor the children who play with, and inspire, Matchbox®. To learn more about the contest and read stories from the heroes that inspired Matchbox® vehicles, we invite you to check out www.Matchbox.com/Heroes.
My son has a dress up bin of clothes, just like my daughter does as well. My son's bin has a variety of outfits: pirates, famous super heroes, construction worker, etc. His favorite dress up outfit is his police man outfit. I love that he would rather dress up as one our real life super hero rather than a pretend one! He even said he would like to be a policeman when he grows up! He is a little hero in training... although he does like to lock up his sister in the police cuffs!
Do you have a budding hero? Then you may want to check out the Matchbox® Heroes Wanted™ promotion. More info is below:

My son is over the age limit, and past him Matchbox days, but I have several family members who have children in the right age group (some who have inherited my son's old cars) and will pass this on. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow this is a great campaign from Matchbox. I remember growing up and liking the Matchbox as well as the Hot Wheels cars even though I was a girl. It's great that the contest is about dressing up as a real life hero. Policemen are definitely real heroes in today's world, especially considering current events. It's a very admirable dream to be in that profession. Good luck! The prize will definitely be a great incentive to do well and dream big.
