The I-X Christmas Connection returns to the I-X Center November 16-18, 2012 #ohio

Break Out the Wrapping Paper
The I-X Christmas Connection Returns!
A holiday tradition for 27 years, the I-X Christmas Connection at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio jingles back into town November 16-18, 2012, with hundreds of unique gifts, homespun crafts, and great holiday entertainment!  The Christmas shopping season starts here with up to 500 booths, including 60 new vendors, offering something for everyone on your shopping list, making your holiday shopping a breeze! Gourmet dips, woven garments, flavored coffees, chocolate-covered pretzels, handmade jewelry, furniture and much more will fill the aisles with Christmas cheer. And speaking of cheer, the NEW Christmas Wine Cellar will allow patrons to take a break from shopping and enjoy a few wine tastings. If a favorite vino is discovered, full bottles will be available for purchase to take home.

Also NEW this year will be the Traveling Duck® Tape experience where attendees can check out a custom-made, bright green 31-foot Duck® Bus and learn about the history and timeline of Duck® Tape, look at creative items made from it, and take part in interactive activities all around their favorite tape. A free roll of Duck® brand duct tape will be given to the first 500 attendees each day of the show courtesy of Duck® Brand!

With so many items to take home, attendees will truly appreciate the Shop and Drop, allowing them to place their holiday purchases in one convenient location while they explore the show floor. Gift wrapping will also be available.

Kids will have a great time getting in the holiday spirit with special features meant just for them! In SantaLand they can write and mail their letters to Santa, or stick around to meet the jolly old elf in person. The Sugar Plum Shoppe is perfect for pint-sized wallets and lets them buy special little gifts for Mom and Dad. At Gingerbread Square, the first 700 kids will have the chance to decorate – and eat! – their own holiday cookie. A giant gingerbread house will be on display to help inspire some sweet ideas.

Back by popular demand is “Breakfast with Santa.” Mrs. Claus, along with many of Santa’s Elves, will enjoy a hot breakfast while waiting to see if Santa can find his way to the I-X Center! A special present from Santa and great photo opportunities (patrons must bring own camera) are included with this package. Please note that “Breakfast with Santa” tickets can only be purchased online or at the box office the day of the show.

A newly-designed stage will host live entertainment throughout the weekend using comfortable theater-style seating. To get everyone into the holiday mood, local choirs, dance teams and bands will be playing and performing all of the holiday favorites. Included on the roster is Northeast Ohio’s own Singing Angels, who will take the stage for two magical performances on Friday evening. The non-profit group is a Cleveland institution supporting youth in arts and music, and have performed throughout the region as well as to international audiences.
