Count Down to Summer and Grilling Season with Udi's!

Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer. As the weather heats up, grilling season officially begins. With Udi's Gluten Free Foods, grilling in the backyard can be delicious, nutritious AND gluten-free.   Udi's is running a "Countdown to Summer" promotion, where they are asking fans to get ready for grilling season with Udi's Gluten Free Foods. Instead of having a BBQ, they are encouraging grillers to have an UDI-Q.

We have a local family run business in town called Grandpa's Cheesebarn.  Well not only do they have some amazing cheeses, but some amazing sliced lunch meats and hotdogs.   So I thought what better what to try Udi's Gluten-Free Hamburger Buns (whole grain and classic) and Hot Dog, then with some local goodness! Hubby fired up the grill and cooked some hot dogs, while I lightly buttered and toasted the hot dog buns! Udi's Gluten-Free buns have more of a kaiser bun texture, so thanks to a helpful tip the toasting helps give them more of a regular bread texture.



Not a burger fan?  Well you can still enjoy Udi's Gluten-Free Buns in other ways!   As I mentioned above, our local store sells some amazing lunch meats, so another great way to enjoy these buns is to make a good old hoagie!  Pile on the cheeses, meats and special sauces and feel good about eating it on an Udi's Gluten-Free Bun!

The great thing about Udi's products is they do not contain preservatives!  Downsize is they will mold sooner than most commercial bread products, so what we did is only keep as many buns out as we needed and freeze the rest! We never eat an entire pack of buns in a week anyways, so it is perfect for us to freeze and not be wasteful!
