From the producers of 300, Mark Canton, Gianni Nunnari, and Relativity’s CEO Ryan Kavanaugh, IMMORTALS explodes off the screen with action-packed battles, mythological adventure and an all-star cast including: Henry Cavill (Superman: Man of Steel), Luke Evans (Robin Hood), Kellan Lutz (Twilight), Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), Stephen Dorff (Public Enemies), John Hurt (Hellboy) and Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2).
In this epic tale of vengeance and destiny, power-mad King Hyperion (Rourke) threatens to destroy all of humanity on his maniacal quest to obtain the ultimate weapon – the legendary Epirus Bow that gives the power to unleash war on both Heaven and Earth. But Theseus (Cavill), a heroic young villager chosen by the gods, rises up to stop Hyperion’s brutal rampage. With supernatural help from the beautiful oracle Phaedra (Pinto), Theseus embraces his destiny and leads a fierce band of warriors in a desperate fight for the future of mankind.
My husband loved this movie, myself on the other hand not a fan of all the violence, so these next words are from my husband and his take on the movie. This movie should no mercy with visual depiction of death. Visual effects and the fighting sequences were stunning and definitely grabbed my attention. The storyline depicted a great history of Mythology and some of which I did not know. It was a unique story of Mythology seen thru the Directors eyes. Only downfall it was a dark movie and even with the lights off there were some scenes that were just too dark and hard to see. Hubby gives this 8 out of 10!

Immortals may not seem like your typical chick-flick but it’s certainly a film that even the ladies can enjoy thanks to the eye candy provided by the almost all-male cast. In celebration of the release of IMMORTALS on 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Triple Play and DVD on March 6, we will introduce you to some hotties with bodies – the men of Immortals.
Henry Cavill – in the role of Theseus
Best known for his role as Charles Brandon in the hit Showtime series The Tudors, Henry Cavill makes his starring role debut on the big screen as Theseus in Immortals after having lost a few major roles to some of Hollywood’s leading actors, including Robert Pattinson to whom he lost the role of Edward Cullen to and Daniel Craig, who eventually landed the role of James Bond in Casino Royale. Fans of Cavill shouldn’t worry as he’ll be suiting up for his biggest role yet come 2013 when he stars as Superman in Man of Steel.
Stephen Dorf – in the role of Stavros
Stephen Dorf is known for being one of Hollywood’s bad-boy and though his career started off with minor television roles and guest spots in music videos – you may remember him as Britney Spears’ not-so-ideal boyfriend in her music video for Everytime – he’s worked with some incredible talent, including renowned filmmaker Sofia Coppola and Elle Fanning in Somewhere. After Immortals, Dorf can next be seen starring along side another Fanning sister, Dakota, as Jerry Lee Flannigan in The Motel Life.
Kellan Lutz – in the role of Poseidon
The global success of Twilight catapulted Kellan Lutz’s career, instantly making him a household name for his role as Emmett Cullen, especially in the tweens demographic. Though Lutz may be the strongest vampire of the Cullen clan, he had to bulk up an additional 25 pounds of muscle to play Greek god Poseidon in Immortals. Lutz and his abs can next be seen in the final installment of the Twilight saga – Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Luke Evans – in the role of Zeus
Luke Evans’ career can be best described as very storybook-like in that he’s portrayed some of literature’s most famous characters including Aramis in 2011’s The Three Musketeers, the Sun-god Apollo in Clash of the Titans, and the king of the gods Zeus in Immortals. Next up, the Welsh theater and film actor can be seen in Peter Jackson’s two-part adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit where he’ll continue his literary streak.
Joseph Morgan – in the role of Lysander
Joseph Morgan may not be a familiar name in the US but this British actor is fast becoming Hollywood’s up and coming star. Having had supporting roles in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, alongside Russell Crowe and in Alexander, which stars Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie, Morgan made his leading role debut in the big screen in Immortals in the role of Lysander. He continues his re-occurring role in the small screen in CW’s hit vampire series, The Vampire Diaries where he portrays a pureblood vampire named Klaus.
