Tooth Fairy Bags - Fun Frugal Twist to putting the tooth under the pillow!

I adapted this project from The Purl Bee!   Please visit her site for pattern!  My oldest has her first wiggly tooth, so I had to get cracking on this project.  These are cute, unique and frugal!!!  Tooth goes in the tooth pocket and the tooth fairy payment in the bigger pocket!

To make 1 3-inch x 3-inch bag:
  • 1 piece  Felt in a bright color of your choice
  • 1 piece Felt in Ecru
  • Embroidery Thread in Ivory
  • Approximately 20-inches of a Ecru ribbon
  • One Free Tooth Template, available here, downloaded, printed, and cut out.
I picked up my supplies at Pat Catans and score the following deals:
Felt - $.25 a piece ($.50 for project)
Embroidery Floss - $.27 each
Roll of Ribbon - $.49
Total cost of project = $1.27 (but I have a ton left over, so the above supplies could make multiple bags, so a real deal!!!)
Please visit the original crafter's site The Purl Bee for pictures of each step and the template.   Only thing different I did was use ribbon instead of yarn and on the side area that called for a running stitch, I  used a button hole stitch
