Cars 2 is on DVD and how it helped out holiday travels!

Cars 2 is now available on Blu-ray and DVD and is the perfect gift for under the tree this year.

Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in “Cars 2” when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. To celebrate the release of Cars2, a few select bloggers received a Holiday Car Trip Kit to get us ready for Thanksgiving travel. I got some activity, coloring sheets, CD and a few other goodies!    We travel at night as it is easy for the kids to sleep in the car on road trip!

First stop of course if for gas!   Gotta love cheap gas!   Only $3.11 a gallon during Thanksgiving travel.  Unfortunately by the time we reached our destination, gas was almost $3.50 a gallon.

Kids all prepped and ready in the car, each watching their own movie and you guessed... my son is watching Cars, oh and sporting Cars PJs and a Cars water bottle!

Oh and one of our pooches resting comfortably on the backseat of van.  Other dog has to ride in his kennel as he gets car sick :-)

We listened to the Cars2 soundtrack and it is great.   Only a few tracks have vocals and the rest are instrumental, but it is perfect way to wind down an evening!

We spent Thanksgiving with my husband's 84 year old grandmother!   She is an amazing cook!  We left around 5pm and went past a Toys R Us at 5pm and people were camping out for the store to open.  One person had a Cars2 tent set up!

Our Holiday Car Trip Kit helped make our road tripping a pleasurable experience! The kids loved all the activity sheets, coloring page and more. It sure kept them occupied while we were in the car bouncing around PA!
