My thoughts:

I loved the storyline and the lesson it teaches children.   You can be what ever you want as long as you put your mind to it.    It teaches children to work together as a team and to get along.   As a child I played with Strawberry Shortcake and love that she had made full circle and is popular again and my daughter loves her too.  My son enjoyed to movie as well, just disappointed the blueberry boy was not in it!
