RIO DVD review and Giveway!!!!

Comes to Blu-ray and DVD on August 2nd

Bring Home Over An Hour of Exciting Interactive Features and
Exclusive Bonus Levels of Angry Birds Rio® with Blu-ray Purchase

Rio tells the story of Blu (Jesse Eisenberg), a Spix Macaw who is captured from his native homelands of Brazil at a young age to be domesticated thousand of miles away with his human owner Linda. His new owner soon discovers that he is the last male of his kind, and with that , the two head south to Rio de Janeiro to meet Blu's new mate.

However, it is nowhere near close to love at first sight between the socially awkward, flight challenged Blu and the strong and independent extreme flying female Jewel (Anne Hathaway). Shortly after Blu's arrival, greedy animal smugglers capture the two rare birds and they soon find themselves helplessly lost in the Brazilian rainforest. Unexpectedly thrown together they embark on a hysterical and endearing adventure where they learn about friendship, love, courage and spreading ones wings to fly.
The creators of ICE AGE bring audiences a whole new tropical adventure in RIO featuring the most colorful cast of characters south of the Equator, including George Lopez (Beverly Hills Chihuahua), Tracy Morgan ("30 Rock"), Jemaine Clement (Despicable Me), Rodrigo Santoro (Che), will.i.am (Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa), Jamie Foxx (Dreamgirls), Jane Lynch "Glee"), & Wanda Sykes(Over The Hedge).

Releasing on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 2nd, Rio is a movie which celebrates friendship and love.  This year, Friendship Day falls on July 30th, and Rio is commemorating this special day with a couple e-cards.  Click on each card to make larger!

This movie is so enjoyable!  The opening scene is full of  colorful birds sing and fly in the Brazilian jungles in coordinated movements.  It draws one in immediately!   Made me want to instantly take a trip to Brazil!   This is a G-rated film that the whole family can appreciate and enjoy.  My children were fortunate enough to see the movie at the theater courtesy of Grandpa and Grandma, but it was the first time for my husband and I to see the flick!  I think we enjoyed it as much as the children did!  If you are looking for a quality family movie, I highly suggest you checking out RIO!!!
