This is in Ohio this weekend and next!!! I just spent the afternoon with my family enjoying the Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011. Pulling out of the station for its 16th consecutive ride on the rails, the Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 will visit more than 45 cities in the United States and Canada. Day Out With Thomas is the only place for families to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of everybody’s favorite No. 1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine, and enjoy Thomas-themed activities at the Imagination Station, including stamps, temporary tattoos and hands-on arts and crafts. Each year the tour grows, traveling to new destinations, adding new activities and welcoming new visitors.
Each event includes:
- 25 minute ride with a full size Thomas the Tank Engine™
- Storytelling, hands-on arts and crafts, and much more!
These are my opinions and photos from our Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 visit! I honestly had figured it would be a short train ride, a coloring sheet or two and that's it. I was shocked when we pulled into the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad it was tents among tents of activities. There were a couple of blow-up activities for kids to climb on, a tent with tattoos, music, a tent with model trains on display, items for sale, etc. It was an entire Thomas experience! The kids, hubby and I totally enjoyed ourselves. The ride consisted of a little more than 30 minutes, the "Conductors and Train Men" walked the aisles talking to the children, giving them certificates and making the ride totally enjoyable!
It Thomas is rolling into a town near you, then I highly suggest you checking it out! It is a great experience!
Disclosure: I received 4 tickets to the above mentioned activity in exchange for blog posts and tweets related to this event.
