How to buy the best zoo or museum membership plan

So last night when blogger was down, I was on twitter instead tweeting away!   While on Twitter, I was talking to another local blogging mama on how I was taking the kids to the zoo today.  Well we normally just buy our local zoo membership, but next month they were changing the reciprocal zoo prices.  Normally we can get into Cleveland, Akron, Toledo and a variety of others for free and 50% off.   Well they changed it for our zoo that it would be only 50% off reciprocal zoos!  Well Hall of Fame Mom shared with me a couple of her posts on how to shop for zoo memberships!!!   Did you know there are some memberships you can buy that also get you into museums free or 50% off!!!!

We normally pay $65 for a zoo and then around $75 for museum memberships.  Well how about only spending around $65 for both?  That is a deal!!!!  Not all zoos and museums partake and it is best to call all your favorites before purchasing, but check out Hall of Fame Mom's posts here and here.
She breaks it down a little more for you!   I am so excited, now we are going to save more money and still have all the fun!!!

Just like Hall of Fame Mom, we are looking into zoo and science museum reciprocal privileges. We checked out Boonshoft near or in the Dayton, Ohio area (family membership $79) and CuriOdyssey formerly known as Coyote Point Museum in California ($65).

Hubby is going to call next week to verify all our favorites are part of the privileges, but we are going to go with  CuriOdyssey!

  1. Hey thanks for sharing "me and my posts" with your readers! And isn't it great to know such great deals are out there? I'm glad you got the info just in time before your current membership expired and you ended up spending too much elsewhere!
