Verizon & AT&T - free calls to Japan

I was an exchange student one summer to Japan!  Then in college, I took two weeks off to go back and visit my host families and friends.   When the news hit about the devastation on Japan, I was worried about my friends and family!   Now Verizon & AT&T  are giving you free calls to Japan

In light of the recent events in Japan, AT&T and Verizon are making all calls to Japan, landline and cellphone, free until March 31st (AT&T) or April 10th (Verizon).
