Well my children are 3 and 5, so I hope they would miss their mommy dearly! We do follow a pretty strict daily schedule, so any interruptions can disrupt their daily schedule. If a little green man can down and took me away, I am sure that would be a major disruption!
Well here are my top ten countdown:
#10. Saturday morning
breakfast. Every Saturday morning we
have a tradition of making Oatmeal chocolate chip pancakes or Belgian waffles! Cause you know if mom was gone, no way daddy
would be making the above mentioned!
#9. Staying up late when daddy is
working. My husband works basketball
games in the evenings a few nights a week.
If the kids were good and well behaved that day I may let them stay up a
little later than normal.
#8. Baking time. I am an avid baker and always make a yummy
treat or two. The kids each have their
own aprons and pull up a stool and help.
They help me measure by using their cups (their hands).
#7. Grocery shopping with
mommy. They have a blast carrying the
list, loading up the cart, etc. We even
cut coupons together and they match the coupons to the item. It is something we enjoy on Saturdays!
#6. Game night. Whether it is playing on the Kinect, going bowling, Dominos, Memory, etc. we make a point of having a family game night
once a week. It is something we all look
forward to!
#5. Movie night! What kid doesn’t love snuggling on the couch
with mom and watching a movie. They
would also miss munching on my popcorn!
#4. Painting nails and getting
girly. This would only apply to my
daughter, but without mom around who would be there to do her hair besides
putting it in headband in (dad), paint her fingers and toes? I also let the
kids do my hair. Who else would they be
able to make look like a rock star?
#3. Listening to Mommy’s awful renditions
of bedtime songs/lullabies. They never
admit I have an awful voice and always ask me to sing them a song. Who else would be there to sing “Jesus Loves
Me” out of tune?
#1. Not having a complete
family. Without mommy, the family would
be incomplete. Every night we share what
we did that day, no matter how big or small.
So I ask you to think about your family.
What would your kids miss most about mommy being Martian-napped?
