Fosberry is a science geek
turned children’s book writer. She was born and raised in the Adirondacks. Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in
Physics from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree from SUNY Binghamton.
Until recently, she worked as a project manager in Silicon
Valley in the high-tech electronics field. She currently divides
her time between the San Francisco Bay Area and Costa Rica with her husband and
three children.
I recently was sent a copy of "My
Name Is Not Isabella " to review. Throughout her day, the title character Isabella imagines herself taking on the adventures of several famous women who made their mark on history. This book empowers children to realize their true capabilities, while still letting their own personality radiate.
It is a wonderful example of role models. At the end of the book it has actual pictures of the women named (by first name and profession) in the book with a short biography. I enjoyed reading the bios myself!
I even got teary eyed at the last powerful woman listed. I won't say who it is... you will need to pick this book up for Christmas to see who it is!
